Twenty Years

This series grew out of my desire to own a home and my questions about where that desire came from and how much of my life I would need to invest in fulfilling it. The sculptures are 3D prints based on architectural plans used by real-estate agencies to market new apartments. Their tallest walls represent the portion I could purchase with a twenty-year mortgage. Rather than depicting the debt itself, they materialize the time from my life that I would spend repaying it.
